Staff![]() Michael Ryan, MPTMichael graduated from Ithaca College with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy in 2004. Michael has worked in outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings in North Carolina, New York, Maryland and New Jersey prior to joining Orthopedic Care PT in the fall of 2005. He is currently working towards his CSCS certification. Michael has competed in many marathons and triathlons; obtaining 1st place in West Point Triathlon for males 25-29, 43rd overall out of 740 in the Wyckoff Triathlon., and also recently completed his first half Ironman. In his spare time, Michael enjoys hiking and skiing. Jerry Monaco, MPTBorn and raised in Middletown, NJ, Jerry was a 3-sport varsity athlete in high school and ran Cross-Country and Track at Quinnipiac University for three years. Jerry became interested in physical therapy by experiencing rehab as a patient. He graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2006 and worked in out patient sports medicine clinics in Connecticut prior to joining the staff at Orthopedic Care Physical Therapy Center. Jerry is currently pursuing his CSCS certification. On his off time, he enjoys running, mountain biking, water sports, and getting together with family and friends. ![]() John J. Giannelli, PTJay, a University of Florida graduate with more than twenty years experience is co-owner of Orthopedic Care Physical Therapy. Jay specializes in spinal and cervical rehabilitation, as well as orthopedics and sports medicine. He is an active member of NJAPTA and the private practice section of the APTA. Jay is also an active member in the community; involved in many events. An avid baseball fan, Jay enjoys watching all levels. Jay also enjoys fishing and gardening. ![]() Richard Balch, PTRichard, a University of Pennsylvania graduate, is the co-owner of Orthopedic Care Physical Therapy. With over twenty years of experience, Richard specializes in spinal rehabilitation as well as TMJ disorders, orthopedics, and sports medicine. Born and raised in Bergen County, he stays active in the community. He is also an active member of the NJAPTA and the orthopedic section of the APTA. When not coaching a sport, Richard enjoys golfing and gardening. ![]() Daniel Ryan, MSPTDaniel graduated from the University of Hartford in 2004 with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy. He has been with Orthopedic Care Physical Therapy Center since 2004. Daniel, a competitive athlete, has competed in many triathlons and marathons. He recently placed 1st in Harriman Triathlon in the Clydesdale division, and finished his first Half-Ironman. This gives Daniel first hand experience when working with the many athletes that come to our clinic. When Daniel is not working with patients or training for an event, he enjoys traveling and photography. |
